The role : Polymer Lead
Responsibilities
As the Polymer Lead at Synboli, you will :
Design and develop innovative polymers using advanced radical polymerization techniques.
Oversee and conduct complex polymer synthesis and characterization processes (e.g., GPC, DSC, FTIR, NMR).
Lead and mentor a growing team of laboratory technicians and engineers in their experimental work.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AI experts, to drive the polymer discovery process.
Adapt and optimize synthesis methods to ensure scalability and reproducibility in polymer production.
Develop high-throughput synthesis and screening methods within the first two years.
Qualifications
PhD in Polymer Chemistry from leading institutions and laboratories.
Minimum 5 years of experience in research laboratories (academic or industrial), with significant expertise in chain polymerization techniques.
Proven track record in polymer synthesis and characterization.
Skills
Strong expertise in at least two polymerization techniques, one of which shall BE radical polymerization.
Proficiency in analytical and characterization techniques for polymers (e.g., SEC, NMR, DSC, TGA, FTIR).
Scientific rigor, an analytical mindset, and the ability to tackle complex problems autonomously.
Experience with project management and leading teams.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
